MSR stove, non-stick pans and this, the Alpine Kitchen Set. I had read several good reviews about it, but I doubt those who wrote the articles had forked out £35 on it... My biggest gripe is that the two weird shape separators in the bowl don’t come out (even though it says so in the MSR 2001 brochure) leaving it pretty much useless for anything else than storage. And, do I really need all those airtight containers? I've gone without for 15 years... I do regret buying the Kitchen Set. If I hadn't got so carried away in the frenzy of buying a new stove and pans, I think I would have bought the utensils separately. On the up side, The spoon, spatula and strainer have been well designed. They fold up small, are light and have a good quality feel about them. Presently I'm using just the little pouch with the chopping board, the lid and utensils... I haven’t yet had the need for anything else. My advice would be to think carefully before you buy, and you’ll save £15+. |
