''TOASTY''
Strengths:
Very warm, fabric does seem to repel water very well but I obviously wouldnt go out in the rain deliberately in it. Build quality is top notch. Priced extremely competively(got mine in he sale so even better!)Hood is large enough for a helmet and even has a wired peak.
Weaknesses:
None really that I can think of. The Red had put me off for a bit but its started to grow on me. Def glad I bought it now.
Overall:
Like Alpkit say "Red is the new black"

'Rather splendid'
Strengths:
Alpkit state, rather cautiously, that the jacket is not waterproof. However, it is far more water resistant than the Hyvent fabric the North Face McMurdo in made from. I have been caught in heavy rain and the jacket has dealt with it marvelously. It is also very warm, and the pockets are large enough for a large paper-back novel. The hood is also very well put together and gives good visibility with room for a helmet.
Weaknesses:
None as far as I can tell. Although, a broader colour spectrum would be an advantage.
Overall:
Well done Alpkit.
