| 'A LOT FOR THE MONEY' | | Strengths: Tough material, padding, rain cover, good choice of sizes in range. | | Weaknesses: None | | Overall: I use the 25 for my camcorder, which fits nicely, along with the original battery as a spare. There's plenty of padding to protect the contents and the 2-way zips are a nice touch. It can fit on to your waist belt for easy access, to save you diving into your rucksack for that quick picture, although I've not put it there yet. The rain cover is a bonus.
Compared to anything else I've seen, and I've looked at everything possible, I believe that this range of pouches is excellent quality, excellent design and excellent value. Compare this to the rubbish flogged in chain store electronics shops at twice the price and you'll see what I mean.
I also have the D-Res 20AW which I use for my GPS, as it fits the Garmin 72/76 series perfectly. Compare this to the ultra-basic Garmin pouch and you'll see just how much better it is. I do however keep this one on my waistbelt as I like to check my altitude and distance to next waypoint pretty frequently. |
