'WORN IT ALMOST EVERY TIME OUTDOORS LAST 6 MONTHS'
Strengths:
Manages to keep you warm or cool most of the time (how???). Thin and comfortable, easy to move in, you forget you've got a 'jumper' on. I like the roomy handwarmer / pocket / vent thingy - works well for all three purposes (tho not at the same time :-)
Weaknesses:
Styling and colours bit old fashioned. Velour one side, shiny synthetic the other - this is never going to be a fashion statement!
Overall:
I have worn this practically every time I've gone out in the country the last six months - my favourite bit of outdoor clothing, though it is just starting to get a bit warm for it now. On really cold days, even with a vasco jacket over the top, I found I needed a warm base layer underneath, which surprised me, given other reviews here. However, that might be because I'm usually walking with children, so not really exerting myself enough to generate a lot of heat.

'BRILLIANT'
Strengths:
Works very well as a base layer under a shell jacket on them wet and windy days and just as well with a thin base layer for those cool and not so windy days.
Weaknesses:
Check your size carefully as the large appears very large compared to the mountain pull on.
Overall:
Brilliant I use it every occasion I can as it works so well.

'GREAT VALUE PERFORMANCE TOP'
Strengths:
Warm and cool. Great wicking. Very comfortable. Ideal for under a windproof shell. Easy and quick to wash.
Weaknesses:
Draw cord sometimes developes a life of its own by refusing to go back into the hem.
Overall:
Excellent top at an excellent price.

'HAD TO BUY MY WIFE ONE TO GET MINE BACK!'
Strengths:
Warm, cool, reversible feature really works, so do zips for cooling. Fabric is close-knit so pretty windproof as well.
Weaknesses:
Front pocket is compromise between pit zips and handwarmer pocket so sits a bit high for putting your hands in.
Overall:
Sits well under the taiga fleece as a base layer or on its own either way round during warmer months. Expensive but you'll only need this one from now on. I have one and so does my Mrs now. Buy one it's great.

'BRILLIANT BASE-LAYER, WARM (& COOL) L/S TOP'
Strengths:
Versatile, worth its weight, because like all Paramo, it does more than one job. Perfect for English Climate.
Weaknesses:
Plain colours OK but Print is disgusting, styling a bit "old fashioned".
Overall:
Superb, functional fabric, if you want more up to date styling try a Mountain Pull-On or, if you're rich, a Vent Pull-On.

'I WILL BE BUYING ANOTHER!!!'
Strengths:
I have only just bought this top and even at first glance (it was bought online) I knew I would be impressed once on the hills! It is very comfortable and warm and ideal for winter use.

The pull-over can be used as a top-layer in ideal but cold conditions (i.e. the Alps) and mid-layer in UK full winter conditions. I have not used it yet as a base layer but don't see a problem in the right conditions.
Weaknesses:
The front pocket could be redesigned to be a little more useful.
Overall:
Brilliant - I'm intending to buy another one but this time in a colour other than burgundy (not dark enough for my taste).

'COMFY WARM / COOL WHENEVER YOU WANT. EXCELLENT!'
Strengths:
It can be reversed so to keep me warm in the cooler conditions. And on the reverse (lol) it can keep me cool. Combine this with the Paramo outer shell layer and you have a combo that can deal with the majority of UK weather on the hill.
Weaknesses:
The front pocket is also the vent so cannot keep stuff in there if you want to use it as a vent. if you feel that this could be a problem for you then go for the mountain vent as this has seperate vent zips. The drawcord after the wash can mystically do it self up and takes time to undo it.
Overall:
A great top that complements my outer so there is a complete paramo system. The Parameter S fabric with it's reversible properties can allow it to be changed quickly and easy so to adapt to the ever changing climate on the hill. The price can seem to be high for what it is and as an initial outlay but it's performance is outstanding better than any other base i have worn. and of course it's a Paramo

'GREAT'
Strengths:
good fitting good pockets and zips lightweight
Weaknesses:
im not a lover of it when its turned inside out for warmer days as it looks like a velour tracksuit top! but in warmer days i dont need it so its not really a problem.
Overall:
great top great fit much better fit than the mountain pull on allowing you to put a base layer beneath if required.
