'SO GOOD YET SO CHEAP'
Strengths:
GORTEX, great waterproofness. can hide in bushes. Tough. Cheap. so cheap. draw cord to keep them up, nice wide legs/zips so can pull on over boots.
Weaknesses:
They have they're own army camo style. they rustle.
Overall:
I was looking for some waterproof trousers to replace those rubbish cheap ones that pack small but aren't actually waterproof. I was going to spend £40 or something, then I came across these gems. mine were ~£13 from ebay! they seem tougher than most (aquafoil etc) cheaper than everything and work so well. I'm proud to have DPM legs!!

'For the money, what other option is there?'
Strengths:
Cheap. Do the job. Cheap. Don''t show dirt.
Cheap.
Weaknesses:
Some don''t have pocket slits or drawcord (easily added). DPM (if you don''t like DPM...but how often do you use them?).
Overall:
Your local Army surplus place will have these. You can afford to replace them pretty much each trip, if you have to. You won't have to pay silly money for Goretex's global domination campaign. You can put them on on top of wet trousers to dry the latter. If you need me to tell you why you should get some when they are A PAIR OF GORETEX TROUSERS FOR SIXTEEN QUID you shouldn't be allowed out anyway. Cheaper than those lovely trousers you wear to go walking in.
