'A SANDAL THAT STRAPS TO YOUR FOOT'
Strengths:
Straps to your foot rather than your foot to the sandal.
Quick drying straps.
Comfort.
Grip.
Guarantee.
Weaknesses:
Have to break your feet in to the footbed.
Smell of rubber(!?!)
Overall:
They use a cross webbing on the heel strap that runs through the ankle side strap, enabling it to slide when your foot moves so the ankle strap is always firmly attached to your heel making them part of your foot. This leads to confidence as the sandal doesn't move around.
Mountain goat grip on all surfaces including all the usual wet ones.
A heel air pocket absorbs shocks, which, until you break your feet in to the "mini-pyramid" footbed is a good thing, and a joy thereafter. The breaking in doesn't take long though and you have a sandal of excellent comfort that you can wear forever.
Velco fastening toes and ankle straps, the latter coming with a "O" ring to clamp down the strap.
Guaranteed for two years or while the green dot on the sole is still visible for those who don't give them such a bashing which probably makes them unique for such a product.
The padded straps are polypropylene and dry much faster than the usual nylon.
The soles are rubber and smell like it too for about three months. Something you get used to.
They come in their own carry bag which is great for those sandy/muddy moments.
Overall, a well thought out sandal that actually lives up to, if not exceeds, the hype.
You can order direct from Israel, where the company hails from, in USD with free postage & packing so bypassing your hated retailer of the moment. It also gives a greater selction of colours and sizes.

[Update 04/08/08] Still going strong. They just refuse to die.
