'ERM! KEEPS YOUR HEAD DRY.'
Strengths:
wind and waterproof. large peak. side flaps that cover your ears and back of head and does up under the chin.
Weaknesses:
bit of a divvy look - if those things bother you
Overall:
the large peak is great at keeping the rain off your glasses/sun out of your eyes and naturally can be worn under a hood in winter.
lives in the bag for those showery days where a hood is just too much.
paramo construction is surprisingly warm for the thickness.

'THE ULTIMATE IN DRY COMFORT ON YOUR HEAD!'
Strengths:
Very breathable. Warm without being too warm. Lovely and comfortable
Weaknesses:
Non really - except perhaps that 'look'
Overall:
Bought this on a whim. Used it this weekend on Long Mynd in dreadful conditions: driving rain, wind, etc.

I wore this under my jacket hood and it was simply superb. There is no claminess her at all. Probably the most comfrortable hat I've worn on a hill.

'DOES AS IT SAYS ON THE LABEL'
Strengths:
extremely waterproof
Weaknesses:
no insulation on side flaps and the front stud fastening is flimsy and difficult to use with gloves on
Overall:
if you purely want a waterproof hat this is the item you need but theres lots on the market for a similar price that are stronger, insulated, and as breathable and waterproof.
