| 'BIG, BRASH, AND I LOVE IT!' | | Strengths: Does the business, no matter how rough you are. | | Weaknesses: Strap can be a little uncomfortable I guess? | | Overall: I always feel like I'm going out on the hills proper when I have my Vector on. |

| 'EXCELLENT MULTIPURPOSE WATCH,ALTIMETER ETC' | | Strengths: an excellent and accurate watch with compass, altimeter & barometer. 2004 style is less garish. Easy to master controls. | | Weaknesses: larger than most, large face easily scratched ,good idea to buy optional scratch resistant face covers. Alarms work but are a bit quiet. | | Overall: altimeter and barometer both work well especially with reference hight set at known altitudes. Compass also provides a useful backup. It has the most useful feature any bit of kit can posess eg: you will actually use it and find it helpful. Batterys can be self replaced which is handy. I bought mine from Nevisport for £130. Money well spent. |

| 'BRILLIANT AND EASY TO USE' | | Strengths: Altimeter Barometer Timer Compass | | Weaknesses: Alarms are very quiet, quite large but not as large as some casio models I've seen | | Overall: Used it for 2 months solid in the Jungle in Honduras, took a pasting but has survived with no scratches or anything. You can find a good deal for the price if you shop around a bit. Battery is easily replaced A brilliant bit of kit |

| 'BIG, BEAUTIFUL AND BRILLIANT' | | Strengths: Altimeter, Barometer, Compass.... and even a watch;) Comes in 3 different colour designs. Water resistant to 30m. 3 alarms, altitude alarms, logging, barometer and altitude history. Also the compass does allow you to track a bearing!! | | Weaknesses: Big and er....doesn't make the tea? | | Overall: Have just received this for a birthday present (lucky me, thanks Mum) and we have been out on Dartmoor to test-drive it. We knew where we were and how high. Also, with a little research and understanding of the interpretation of barometric readings were able to be sheltered with 5 minutes to spare before it pee'd down. Got mine in the Khaki finish. Believe that it was purchased for £139 at Ellis Brigham. |

| 'Massive beast of a timepiece' | | Strengths: A robust piece of kit. Easy to read, well illuminated face. Very easy to use - even with gloves. | | Weaknesses: Plastic face + rocks = scratches. | | Overall: I love my big red suunto. Its always there as a reliable back up to my recta compass. Its fairly robust and has summitted many a peak and plunged to great watery depths - well about 10 metres in the Red Sea! Great fun watching the barometric pressure drop on aeroplanes too! A worthy replacement for my sadly departed G Shock. When it finally gives up the ghost - I'll get another Suunto - good work Scandanavians! |
