'SAVED ME FROM THE KATHMANDU QUICKSTEP.'
Strengths:
It works. Weighs nothing. water tastes like water not toilet duck(must stop drinking that)
Weaknesses:
Shame they dont do it in orange squash flavour
Overall:
I had a Katadyn mini filter for my trip to nepal, it broke after a day (crock of crap). Luckly I didnt trust it (because it broke on a previous trip to nepal, replaced EVENTUALLY after much haggling)so i packed aqua mira just incase. Lived off it for two months, is very good indeed.

'NO COMPLAINTS FROM ME, IDEAL I THOUGHT'
Strengths:
used it in Nepal for 4 months, stream's, tap water, Tea houses filtered water was never ill and didn't mind the taste.
Weaknesses:
20 minutes to work but at colder temperature they recommend longer I always waited at least an hour to be sure but as I was carrying two 2.5 lt platipusses it wasn't a problem
Overall:
Highly recommended

'EASY TO USE AND I HAVEN'T BEEN ILL YET'
Strengths:
Very easy to use.
Kills most of the nasties you're likely to come across in the UK.
Taste is not too unpleasant.
Weaknesses:
Water tastes of chlorine, but is bearable.
Overall:
I've only used this in the UK and haven't been ill yet. It's imposible to tell whether that's because the Aqua Mira is doing its job or the water sources I've used are clean anyway. Better to be safe than sorry.
This does give the water a chlorine taste, but it's not so unpleasant as to make the water undrinkable. It's better than getting ill anyway.
