'JAMMER TO ABSEIL DOWN A ROPE'
Strengths:
Self locking
Weaknesses:
Easy for beginners to thread rope in wrong. Also possible to think that squeezing handle will break, but will actually make you descend very fast!
Overall:
Easy bit of kit to use to abseil down single rope, though training with it should be advised
