| 'GOOD FOR THE BEACH' | | Strengths: Stops opportunistic theft. | | Weaknesses: Looks like you've got something worth nicking inside. No defence against wirecutters. Doesn't feel right. | | Overall: I use the extra small (20-40l) version on a day pack tied to sunbeds on that sort of holiday. It's good for that as you can all go off swimming and leave your camera and stuff inside without many worries. Mind you, I always leave it under a towel so that it's not obvious. Without it, we'd always have to leave someone behind. I used a larger one once in a dorm, but felt like a real public knob-end, as if I didn't trust a soul, so I flogged that one after that. It was an open invite to anyone witth a Swiss Army knife. For bigger packs I'd cover it with a knackered-looking holdall and take what you can with you in a smaller pack if you go out.
Extra small - highly recommended Larger - don't bother |
