Description: The Lowe Alpine Light Weight Dryflo Crew Long Sleeve is a fast-wicking performance base layer. Exclusive to Lowe Alpine, Dryflo is made from 100% polyester fibres that are hydrophobic, resulting in a wicking process that does not absorb moisture (unlike cotton), but uses a unique denier gradient system that mechanically transports moisture away from the body. Dryflo's open knit construction offers high breathability and it's quick drying, giving next to the skin comfort. Odour resistant. Non-pilling.

'THE PERFECT BASELAYER?'
Strengths:
great fit, comfortable, wicks well, durable, staves off odours, good value
Weaknesses:
none for me
Overall:
I've tried a number of different baselayers from various manufacturers and this is the finest by far (for me, anyway). Looking at the other reviews, it's obvious that fit is pretty much everything - too tight and it's uncomfortable, too slack and it won't perform properly. I'm a 42" chest and the medium is perfect for me. I rarely wear any other baselayer top these days. It may sound obvious, but check the fit before buying.

'NOT TOO SURE'
Strengths:
Feels nice to me. Dries quickly.
Weaknesses:
Sizes agian, i fall between M and L, there seems to be a very big jump

Material is wearing (bobbles) already after not much use this year.
Overall:
Gets used for the gym, mountain biking, as a baselayer, it is a good allrounder.

Can't comment on whether it ever stinks as I wash it every time I wear it.

'GREAT PERFORMING BASELAYER'
Strengths:
Ideal for warmer Autumn/Winter days on it's own, and great beneath a fleece in colder weather.

Good slim but not restrictive fit.

Wicks well, washes well, wears well
Weaknesses:
Limited colour range
Overall:
This wicks the sweat away as well as any other baselayer I've tried and is far more abrasion resistant than most, allowing me to happily wear it on it's own under a pac without the shirt getting rubbed to pieces.

The fit is perfect on me - close enough to wick well without emphasing the beer gut too much or feeling restrictive and long enough in the sleeve.

It's averagely priced, performs well and if it came it a better range of colours I'd have bought a few.

'NOT TOO SURE EITHER'
Strengths:
Nice feel on skin, when first on.
Weaknesses:
Fit - I find the cut too loose for me when I get a size that has the right length, the chest/arm/waist fit is too baggy, leading to the top being flappy. This lets me get cold - when the wet material is caught by the breeze and gets flappy!
Overall:
I find this top is better as casual wear as it doesn't suit me when I'm being highly active (ie sweating when moving quick) But if you don't run too hot, the material feels nice on. Strangely the same company's Aleutiun mid layer fits me perfectly, as does the Dryflo underwear.
