[Update 29/08/06] Does exactly what it says on the packet..!! Light, waterproof, breathable (Event is fab)and very very reliable..!!!!!

Weaknesses:
Can't find anything yet, guess time will tell.

[Update 29/08/06] Unfortunately the hood is not the best....come on Rab...lets get this sorted !!!

Overall:
Reviews on this website helped me purchase this jacket and pants. Make sure you look around on the web for a good price. Got mine from towerridge.co.uk for 136.00 (Pants for 111) Great service. Overall...can't wait to get back to Snowdon...if it rains...who cares now!!

'WORTH EVERY PENNY'
Strengths:
light, feels strong, goodd cuffs and hem adjusters, soft bit on chin, cut, keeps me nice and dry, looks good etc,etc . . . could go on for a while here !
Weaknesses:
the dangly hood adjusters - i spent ages trying to get them out of my face, then gave up
Overall:
really good, much better than old paclite jacket, if your thinking of getting one you wont regret it.may want to try it on though, i'm normally a medium but got this in large - may just be me though !

'Waterproof, windproof, lightweight, durable, versatile'
Strengths:
This shell is wicked. I have found it to be absolutely waterproof and breathable and I use it in the Scottish Highlands where it rains a lot. It weighs next to nothing and has some great features like the drawcords, hood, waterproof zips, 4 pockets.
Weaknesses:
None that I can think of for the type of jacket it is.
Overall:
Fantastic shell at a great price but this is just IMHO. What do you others think?

'FAB JACKET, WITH ONLY SOME MINOR FAULTS.....'
Strengths:
Event fabric, not as noisy as paclite, feels stronger than paclite and just as lightweight. The cuffs and arm design are brilliant, no baggy extra fabric that wraps around in a mess, well done Rab!
Weaknesses:
The hood drawcords at the front need to be battened out of the way. There are 4 pockets, 2 outside and 2 in, the 2 inside use the same mesh as the 2 outside, the downside to this is that if you get the 2 outside wet (with wet hands say) then anything in the inside pockets also gets wet. Note that there is Event between you and the pockets so you do not get wet, just the pockets! I would like to see the 2 inside pockets with seperate bags. Also i am not sure about waterproof zips without flaps, time will tell on that one.
Overall:
This is a great all around jacket, i bought this the same time as a Montane SuperFly, approx 6 months ago (the Montane is also made from Event) however at the moment i favour the RAB and wear it more, its just designed that little better especially the arms and hood.
Great all around jacket.

'WELL WORTH THE CASH'
Strengths:
very water proof
surprisingly strong
Weaknesses:
the hood - it doesn't fit that well over my helmet & the drawcords are a nightmare
Overall:
damaged mine after a slip over some rocks in scotland. compared to me the jacket came off quite well. I paid 160.00 for mine.

'EXCELLENT!!! '
Strengths:
Light weight, very breathable and very packable. Yet to test it in proper rain (Scottish) but no problems as yet. The cuffs are awesome
Weaknesses:
The only minor weakness is the drawcords on the hood, very fiddly when wearing gloves.
Overall:
I was looking for a light weight jaket but was dubious about the toughness of Paclite. Seeing as this jacket was not much heavier and will still fit in a small stuff sack it felt a lot more durable. So far I've been very impressed I would recommend it to anybody.
