'NOT USEFUL ENOUGH TO JUSTIFY FULL PRICE'
Strengths:
Versatile, compliments Leatherman tools, good quality materials.
Weaknesses:
Price
Leather pouch catches on everything and looks daft attached to your belt.
Overall:
Not essential. Probably better off sticking with just the basic tool itself. Costly and the bulky leather belt pouch is a real (literal) pain in the arse.

'CONVENIENT & USEFUL'
Strengths:
Access to locking blades without having to open the tool. The rounded handles makes using the pliers more comfortable than other Leatherman products.
Weaknesses:
Can be a wee bit wobbly when used in anger, because of the hinging system. The inside tools do not lock in place.
Overall:
I got this after my father appropriated my Supertool plus adaptor. Although it is not as tough, it is smaller, lighter, more comfortable and easier to use the blades.

It is quite pricey, but I still feel that you get what you pay for. I have tools from other manufacturers and on the whole they are not as useful and robust as the Wave.
