'LIGHT AND WARM'
Strengths:
light, warm, windresistant
Weaknesses:
material does not stretch.
Overall:
These are great trousers in the cold. I bought them in the summer, but found them too hot, so they languished in my cupboard. Recent cold snap brought them out and they are great! Light, warm (as warm as trousers with thermal underwear) and windproof. Technically I beleive they are classed as wind resistant, but at 60mph on my motorcycle, my legs did not feel cold, so I call that windproof. The only down side is that the material does not stretch, so either they fit you or they don't. I think they are sized very large, so I needed a size down on normal. For wandering around a cold wildcamp at night they are great. I'm not convinced they will last well as the fluffyness causes them to pick up all sorts of mung, which means more frequent washing etc.

'GREAT TROUSERS!'
Strengths:
Very warm, hardwearing, water resistant, good draw strings.. I proofed them with Nikwax for extra water repellency.
Weaknesses:
?. Don't wear in summer, but then, why would you? They are designed for the cold. Fleece also picks-up the dust and fluff, but heh, so what? Not a fashion item.
Overall:
Get 'em!

'The greatest legwear ever'
Strengths:
Durable, comfortable, pretty windproof, light, packable and reasonable price
Weaknesses:
I wear them all the time - even been clubbing in them a few times as they are supreme drinking trousers - so they are starting to look a little tatty after 2 years!
Overall:
Superb, comfortable trousers. I have used mine for everything from Scottish winter mountaineering regularly, right through to a night out on the tiles. The only time they are not being used is when it is too warm, or when they are in the wash! Love em to bits and will definatly be buying a second pair in the near future!

'Another winner from ME, highly recommended'
Strengths:
comfortable, hardwearing, light & pretty water resistant, good value
Weaknesses:
definitely too warm to wear under waterproofs.
Overall:
I've had a pair for over 3 years, and have been great value. They're so comfortable, I often wear them instead of trakky bottoms for other sports.
Though they're too warm to wear under waterproofs I've often worn them in winter downpours and not ended up too cold & wet.
They can be too warm to wear for the warmer months, but hey dont use then, but a pair of shorts or ronhills on.

'DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN, UNFORTUNATELY.'
Strengths:
Warm and light
Overall:
Loose around the waist, they didn’t fit me very well and were inclined to slip, the waist drawstring was not great. There is no fly, too warm for summer hiking, I found a lined tracksuit bottom to be more windproof. Around the house they pick up fluff and dirt like anything. However there are excellent to wear camping, which is exactly what it says on the label.

'DEFINETLY NOT PANTS!'
Strengths:
Brill. Warm, wind resistant and water resistant. Great in the snow.
Weaknesses:
Don't make then long enough as I'm 6'3" and these are just about ok with walking boots but still let draughts in
Overall:
Will definetly buy them again when they wear out, mind you i've had present pair for about 5 years.
