 | | | Posted: 21/12/07 | | 'LIGHT AND WARM' | | Strengths: light, warm, windresistant | | Weaknesses: material does not stretch. | | Overall: These are great trousers in the cold. I bought them in the summer, but found them too hot, so they languished in my cupboard. Recent cold snap brought them out and they are great! Light, warm (as warm as trousers with thermal underwear) and windproof. Technically I beleive they are classed as wind resistant, but at 60mph on my motorcycle, my legs did not feel cold, so I call that windproof. The only down side is that the material does not stretch, so either they fit you or they don't. I think they are sized very large, so I needed a size down on normal. For wandering around a cold wildcamp at night they are great. I'm not convinced they will last well as the fluffyness causes them to pick up all sorts of mung, which means more frequent washing etc. |
