More about Exped

RRP: £179
Year: 2005

Description:
  • Flat pole sleeve reduces wind resistance, while making Vela I Extreme easier to use. Double stitched, parallel seams are twice as strong as other designs.
  • A vestibule, large enough for a pack, clothing and boots, places all within easy grasp from inside.
  • Both sides of the fly can easily be rolled and secured at the centre for summer ventilation. The ends are made from mosquito netting and one additional ceiling vent is at the head side. To keep the worst winds out, the fly extends to the ground on one side.
  • Aerodynamic and storm resistant: Vela I Extreme’s round, tunnel shape and flat pole sleeve design create a minimum of wind resistance. Also, the pole sleeve has four guy line loops, with the lowest offering the greatest support.
  • New Zipfree door: just pull the cord to raise the door - no zipper to snag or admit water. It saves weight and without the obvious entrance, Vela I offers improved safety from casual theft.
