RRP: £20 Year: 2004 Description: Edited by Andy Nisbet.
The Northern Highlands is a huge area and those willing to travel will find the pleasure of remote cliffs in wonderful scenery. Visitors are few, and away from the most popular areas, the chances of finding anyone else on your cliff are small. As a consequence many of the routes, both summer and winter may be unrepeated or have had very few ascents. Accordingly, climbers should approach grades and descriptions with caution.
This Scottish Mountaineering Club Climbers guide covers the area from the north coast south as far South as the Inverness - Ullapool road excluding Ben Wyvis.
Since the last edition of this guide, the number of routes has doubled and many new crags appear for the first time. Established venues such as Reiff, Ardmair and Sheigra and the mountains of Easter Ross, Coigach, Assynt and Foinaven have all been updated, anlong with Shetland and extensive developements on Orkney.
