THE FORRESTER (BLACK ) SAME PRICE/SPEC BUT 3 LOCKING BLADES

I have the black coloured Forrester which i prefer.
It serves as an ideal, useable tool with the bigger blade and saw which BOTH lock open.
The screwdriver / bottle opener does too.
Tweezers, bradawl and really useful toothpick for meat lovers.
I spilt meths on mine and melted the handle (Duh)
Assume ANY folding knife CAN fold back onto your pinkies - even locking ones...
I cant see why so many features are needed on some of the "swiss army knives", this one just suits all my needs and it gets used all the time.
Buy one soon before they close the swiss factory and get made in china or somewhere.

TRUSTY KNIFE

quality, longer blade than average that locks, fairly easy to sharpen, comfortable to hold, and the wood saw works too.
no scissors and the wood saw doesn't lock. the very tip of my blade has snapped of some time, but it has taken some abuse and it was fairly easy to sharpen back into something usuable.
i've had mine for about 8 years now and have hardly been away without it. i bought a small screwdriver adaption for glasses that fits inside the corkscrew for about 20p and found a larger belt holder for it. has served me well over the years and is still going as strong as ever, even if the tip of the blade looks a little funny.

A LOCKING SWISS ARMY KNIFE

This has a large locking blade that is closed by sliding a button inserted in the red plastic handle. Being a left hander I found it very easy to use this by operating the button with my left thumb. other utensils are standard swiss army knife fair except for the wood saw this is brilliant and where would I be without the cork screw!
Sadly the wood saw is not locking but hasn't caught me out yet. My partner a right hander found she had difficulty in operating the unlock button. No scissors. A bit bulky and heavy.
The Stainless steel blade sharpens easily and being locking enables more confident use. It is a shame that victorinox don't do a belt holder for it as it's a bit big for a pocket.
