DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN

Cheap, lets face it nothing can go wrong, an essential
not breathable
I say 'not breathable' as a weakness, but I've had three over the years; they've been replaced after being battered so much in the bottom of my rucksack I decided it was time for another. Three for £6 or 3 for perhaps £120? No-brainer! Plus if it keeps me alive I don't care how damp I get.
They also make an OK sledge if you've got a snow slope and nothing else available!

CHEAP AND ESSENTIAL

Will keep you alive for less than the price of a pint.
Doubles as a groundsheet or pack-liner.
Not breathable so only get inside it when you have to - but, hey, you have to be alive to be uncomfortable!
Apparently, these have saved more lives than any other survival accessory so why not carry one with you always? I recommend you prep yours before hand by cutting one corner off so when you need to use it and pull it over your head while sitting on your rucsac(don't use it like a sleeping bag!), you can see out a little and let the steam out.

IT'LL KEEP YOU ALIVE...

Its nice to have it just in case, doesn't take up that much room
Well I've never used it (**Touch wood**) so I can't comment
Insulating not supposed to be that good
Doesn't go with my jacket colourw ise
For winter I reckon you should always carry one of these and a space blanket, but for summer one of these will suffice. Worth £2 for the peace of mind.
Cant comment on performance/durability so I'll go with what I've heard

IT'S LIKE THE OXFAM ADVERT

"For just £2 you could save a life". This time it's someone who you can talk to.
Hmmmmmm..... not applicable
Excellent sitmat, but remember if you use it as a sitmat you will decrease it's life, as holes appear where stones were.

For £2 you can't afford not to. If it's a choice of superlightweight Alpine style save every gram you can and disregard the survival bag, then on your head be it, but for about 250grams or so, and not a lot of volume, I'd be happier to know I've got one!
