OK
would stop someone grabbing your stuff and running of. folds away surprisingly small.
600+ grams of weight with stuffsack. wirecutters would make short work of it. I agree with the previous review, it makes your pack a target as it looks like you have valuable stuff inside.
i've mixed feeling about this product, it you do a lot of traveling by train and wish to get some sleep it may be worth it, but the old trick of just tieing some webbing around your ankles would do the same thing. I wouldnt feel that i could leave my backpack unattended with this on anyway, anyone with a decent penknife could cut the cord and it does make your pack look more inviting. However it could stop opportunist thieves from grabbing your pack.

GOOD FOR THE BEACH
Stops opportunistic theft.
Looks like you've got something worth nicking inside. No defence against wirecutters. Doesn't feel right.
I use the extra small (20-40l) version on a day pack tied to sunbeds on that sort of holiday. It's good for that as you can all go off swimming and leave your camera and stuff inside without many worries. Mind you, I always leave it under a towel so that it's not obvious. Without it, we'd always have to leave someone behind. I used a larger one once in a dorm, but felt like a real public knob-end, as if I didn't trust a soul, so I flogged that one after that. It was an open invite to anyone witth a Swiss Army knife. For bigger packs I'd cover it with a knackered-looking holdall and take what you can with you in a smaller pack if you go out.
Extra small - highly recommended Larger - don't bother
