EXPENCIVE, BUT WOULD DEFINATELY MISS IT.
Good Collection of Utensils Handy Storage Pots Great for any outdoor eating, not just Camping. Bowl very useful for food preparation.
Expecive (apparently, mine was a present)
Everything you need in a handy bowl! This was one of those bits of kit I looked at longingly but would never spend the cash. the 3 foldout utensils are very clever and I do actually use all those pots. Its true to say I may have never stumped up the cash for it myself. But i'd miss it now i have it.

YOU DONT NEED ONE YOU JUST WANT ONE !
compact good materials well designed utensils
expensive 'gimmicky'
fits into the lightweight luxury category i think . it does make pre-departure checks easy though , if theres any space left , fill it ! its neat and clever and very american , you dont need one you just want one . the utensils are awesome and the chopping board does have some health benefits . i dont know about the fit in other msr cookware (cant afford a new panset yet) but an e-mail to msr could clarify things . i paid about £25 i think so shop about . you could just buy the utensils and hack a chopping board to bits but where would you get an msr cereal bowl ?

MIXED BAG
Compact, some of everything, I especially like the thin chopping board and folding spatula.
Is quite expensive - comes with some unecessary bits like a sponge scourer - who can't get hold of a sponge? With the lid it doesn't pack into the MSR BlackLite Pan set, stands an inch or so too tall.
Would recommend getting the essential bits separately and more cheaply(although I don't think that chopping board can be bought on its own).

RATHER GOOD ACTUALLY!
Compact, seems to have Everything covered, nice to have all bits at peices together at the same time. Spoon, Spatula and strainer are brilliant. Well made.
Maybe a tad expensive? The lid doesn't fill me with confidence and it rises up a bit and looks like it might fall off.
Unlike Jons version, the seperators in my set do come out, making the bowl very useful. I would have liked a tea spoon in there aswell. Am I expecting too much?

...a disappointing buy
+ excellent design spoon, spatula and strainer + fits inside a pan set
- expensive. cheaper if contents were bought seperately - bowl only good for storing
I purchased everything together... MSR stove, non-stick pans and this, the Alpine Kitchen Set. I had read several good reviews about it, but I doubt those who wrote the articles had forked out £35 on it... My biggest gripe is that the two weird shape separators in the bowl don’t come out (even though it says so in the MSR 2001 brochure) leaving it pretty much useless for anything else than storage. And, do I really need all those airtight containers? I've gone without for 15 years... I do regret buying the Kitchen Set. If I hadn't got so carried away in the frenzy of buying a new stove and pans, I think I would have bought the utensils separately. On the up side, The spoon, spatula and strainer have been well designed. They fold up small, are light and have a good quality feel about them. Presently I'm using just the little pouch with the chopping board, the lid and utensils... I haven’t yet had the need for anything else. My advice would be to think carefully before you buy, and you’ll save £15+.
