COMPACT ALTERNATIVE TO JETBOIL

The newer version of mine comes with a mini frying pan which doubles as a lid and is great for an egg. Good heat transfer and the perfect size to hold a 250 gas canister and a Micron Ti 2.5 stove. Because this combo is flexible it was a better choice for me than a Jetboil.

This is hard anodised aluminium so not as light as titanium. Durability of mesh bag is questionable but it is needed to keep the set together.

Good value, good quality cookware that lasts.

IDEAL FOR ONE/TWO PEOPLE BACKPACKING

Compact and neat, capacity of 1 litre which is enough for a meal for two. I have the newer version where the lid is a non-stick coated frying pan which is pretty small but makes a demon fried egg. The whole thing is hard anodised so is tough as old boots. Neat fold away handles and mesh carry bag. I bought the combo kit with the Micron Stove and you can fit the stove and a 250g gas canister in the kettle which makes a neat packing option. Sufficient capacity to make a cup of tea for two or three at a time.

The edges aren't well finished hence sharp and could easily cut you if you aren't careful. Not as light as some (titanium for instance) but at 260g it's pretty light. Not particularly cheap (combo kit is £50). 1 litre is cutting it fine for 2 people so you need to plan your menu carefully.

because you can stuff cleaning cloths, gas, stove and soap in the pan with a total volume of 1 litre, this is a neat unit for backpacking. Ideal for basic cooking and with a tight-fitting lid it boils quickly and does a good job of cooking camping staples like rice. Neat, well made (on the whole - see above) and dependable - love it.

GREAT POT FOR ALPINE CLIMBING.

This little kettle looks good with the grey anodising, works well and is fairly light. Good pouring "spout".

Not as light as some and quite expensive for what is in effect one cooking pot. Lid not very tight fitting.

I have been using mine as for solo "alpine style" trips where it excels. You can fit a MSR Pocket Rocket with food etc inside, making a good compact item. The lid is not the best fitting in the world but the anodised aluminium has held up well to the normal abuse you would expect. It also makes a great 1lt mug!
