GREAT, BUT AVOID SMOOTH, WET SURFACES

Waterproof
Very comfortable (at least with sorbothane doublestrikes)
a big bit on the volume/width, needed a big insole, like the doublestrike
needed larger size for length - a 43.5 (EU) instead of a 41.5
No grip in the wet.
Allright, a waterproof multipurpose shoe. I took the shoe on a journey from mexico city, in the rainy season (sept), through Oaxaca, Chiapas and the Yucatan. Never got wet feet, did get damp feet, but during humid 30 degree jungle walks, what do you expect?
It's got Goretex XCR, which comes at a premium. So why doesn't the damn sole grip at all on smooth wet surfaces? Come on Merell - my feet stay dry, but I'll break my legs instead.
Would I buy it again - only if they added a lot of wet-grip to that lousy sole.
