Just never fitted me right due to the odd height for the heel cup. Still wear them around town but wouldn't walk mountains in them, which is a shame. Others I know who've had them really rate them. Continue reading...

Rock and Run are doing these shoes in my size for a stupid price. Anyone else tried these shoes out yet?

Got some - don't fit my heel too well. Well made and pretty tough, I use them round town mostly these days. Couldn't get them to work for me on the hills. I think Peter has a pair and loves them. If they fit you, then they are worth buying.

Thanks Kelvin. When you say they dont fit your heel, do you mean too tight or rubbing in the wrong place? Are they similar to Innovs? Also which Peter has a pair?

Posted: 06/12/2010 at 17:24

Rubbing in the wrong place for me, plus slightly too large but my feet have changed shape again, so I'm not the best person to go off of on shape. There's more than one Peter?! It may not even be a Peter but I think it was. Search button I guess.

Cheers Kelvin

they are £25 for a pair in my size.......

Posted: 06/12/2010 at 17:55

I'd get some then! Jeez, that's cheap. I think it's Peter Clinch but might be wrong and I reckon Chairman Bill has a pair too.

Posted: 07/12/2010 at 10:35

Nope. My feet are of more manly proportions

He who hesitates is lost Dave....

Mine are on their way.

See, if you spent less time posting stuff on forums on the off chance of some shoes...

would you like to see a picture of you looking 'comfortably padded' on a sofa...?

Posted: 07/12/2010 at 11:04

Or more to the point, would you like everbody to see it?

Posted: 07/12/2010 at 11:05

My feet are jsut about perfect for Scarpa 43 so I got a pair a wee while ago from R&R without having to try them.

They're fine.  I prefer my Heliums right now as they have less mesh than the Axis, but of course that's a two edged sword.  The sole and construction seem okay, I wouldn't have bought them at full price but at half that they were a bargain.

um....good point

£25 well spent. You would have loved'em Dave. Thick socks perhaps

Posted: 09/12/2010 at 18:50

If you know a lady with small feet after a pair of B1, they could do a lot worse than get a pair of the Kayland Apex on R+R, the missus who is quite particular about her footwear is very happy with them. Less than 60£....

thanks Mick

Dave

Get a size up if they have them, i think they come up a bit small.

Posted: 09/12/2010 at 19:12

hmmmmm....maybe

Posted: 09/12/2010 at 20:31

I'm more typically a 43 than anything else (and not just in Scarpa, I have Tevas, Salomons and Saucony too), and the 43 fits me fine.

Pete.
