IMPROVED 2006 SHOE

Great if you have a narrow and small foot. Very comfortable to wear in all terrain.
Past history of heel failures and poor reviews.
Having gone into Georgefisher to purchase the Scarpa Manta, I was some what suprised to walk out with this pair of boots. The fit, ankle support and general style of the boot was great. Very popular in the US & Canada. Wore first in Wicklow Mts, found them to be fab. Looking forward to future treks, scrambles in snowdon and winter walks in Scotland. As for the reliability, only time will tell?????? (I have marked them good and will update at the end of the year)

A great all round boot

If you have narrow feet these fit brilliantly. Comfortable climbing or scrambling, I have climbed Scottish IV/V with a pair of Black Diamond Sabre tooth crampons that fit perfectly.
Early versions had a bad shearing problem at the ankle flex area, had mine replaced after 3 months solid use and the new pair have been redesigned and are perfect 12 months on.
A great all round lightweight B2 boot similar in construction to the Scarpa freny and although they don't have a thermal liner I have had no cold foot problems in long winter days when wearing thorlo wool mix socks.
If you have a narrow foot, high instep and have had blisters with Solomons (I did) then give these a try, straight from the box and into 2 weeks walking in the Cairngorms and no blisters, cool :)
