WHAT A BOOT!

I'm a mountain leader and I've used these boots constantly in most conditions with the exception of heavy snow or ice. They have performed absolutely brilliant and the weight of the boots make them excellent for such things like the Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks or National Three Peaks Challenges. Mine took an absolute battering over three years and I really regretted when I had to finally depart with them. I've not yet replaced them because I'm using my Scarpa ultra-lights but when I purchase my next 2-season boots these will be the only ones I'll buy.
None that I found. The stitching finally gave up but that was after three years of excessive use.
Probably the best 2-season boots I've ever had - and I've had many :)

What is more - they are now only £120 - what a bargain?

LIKE THEM

Generally worked well so far. No blisters & overall pretty comfortable
The tops rub my lower legs a bit, but only a little uncomfortaable. Have had to fiddle a bit with the lacing.
I have a later model from that shown above - it has less leather and the rand is a bit lower at the sides. The sole is a Viram Mulaz sole, as used in the Scarpa Charmoz & La Sportiva's Trango S. Only used for 5 days so far, though. Bought in Cotswold sale for £107.

A great boot that i wear for everything except full blown winter conditions (although these take crampons).I've used these for a couple of years now without complaint.

LIGHT, COMFORTABLE WINTER BOOT

light, comfortable (from the box), great for scrambling
none so far (though some colour options are naff)
Excellent winter boot. Definitely my choice for winter walking. Note that 2006/7 models are B1 not B2 and poorer for it.

REYT GOOD : )

Stiff enough to tackle a decent scramble, while versatile to the point of being comfy with a heavy pack for prolongued use. High rand is great for protection from sharp shale as well as from the usual fare while scrambling. The fit is like a pair of slippers crossed with snowboard boots.
the high water gusset - get water over the top and you are well and truly squidgy for days (although should you choose to cross rivers using the bridges provided this is not an issue : p ).
I used to be a firm advocate of Scarpas, but now i've tried Raichle i can safely say the old ZG's and Co. have firmly been retired to second place. Covering around 18,000ft of ascent over three days with an eighty litre backpack really endeared me to the comfort afforded by the all degree lites, even after an ill planned stream (which in hindsight was more of a river) crossing which left me somewhat squidgy.
