USEFUL DISTANCE BOOT

If it fits, and you already understand Scarpa's sizing then it's ready to go. Just about stiff enough for the difficult stuff (my Mantas sometimes feel much more reassuring) Flexible enough for very different sorts of usage.
Some rough spikey Greek stuff, scrambling over many kms of cliffs, left them with fewer scars than I expected.
Internal padding seems to provide an immediate sense of comfort. I never really trust boots like this, but after an intense week of Mallorcan walking and scrambling, things seem ok.
As Jon points out, they are not as stiff as the SL, my favourite boot (I even wear it to work) but for long days with a heavy pack, in a wide range of temperatures, I have been happy.
For the narrow footed (like me) it has worked very well. Despite repeated saturation and drying the boots have remained snug and comfy. I suspect that for heavier and bigger users the immediately comfortable padding might quickly change the shape of the boot (I am under 60kg) but it is the chosen footwear whenever I have to think of a laden walk over more than 100k.

It seems to fit lightweight 10 point crampons without fuss, but I have not yet used these under duress.

Superb trekking and walking boot.

SOME OF THE BEST BOOTS I'VE EVER WORN

Very lightweight for a B1 boot, fantastic grip and support. Extremely comfortable straight out of the box and totally waterproof in all snow conditions. Sole unit is the same as a much heavier boot (eg Manta).
Can't really think of any, but the fit might not suit everyone (I found them very wide, which suit my plates).
Probably the best boots I've tried for British mountains. Will handle all but the most severe of Scottish conditions, and ideal for long days in the Lakes and North Wales. I've climbed with crampons on in the Cuillin, had them on rock pinnacles in the Dolomites, but also wore them in Crete in June. If you need a versatile boot, this is the one.

GOOD COMPROMISE

Very light for a B1 boot, but gives great support and traction. Took minimal breaking in too.
None found, yet.....
Top quality boot from Scarpa without going for full leather. Gor-tex liner to keep the wet out, but some of the heat in. Provides great support for a fabric boot and took me about 10 miles to get comfy. I've added superfeet green to them and never had a sign of a blister. Not used for crampons yet, but have with snowshoes and coped no problems where my B0 boots failed to support.
