An excellant fell running shoe!

A very aggressive sole using a "sticky" rubber compound, grips steep, muddy hills superbly. The narrow fit and minimal cushioning in the sole let you know just what you're stepping into. The light weight upper allows water to drain out freely and dry quickly.
None, if you wear a good pair of technical running socks, otherwise the upper may rub slightly
As a 34 year old who still likes to jump around in the mud, the aggresive sole and light weight upper of my Mudclaw 270s let me clamber and puff my way up some very slippery gullies, whilst the narrow fit and minimal cushioning give me the feed-back I need for descending rocky paths with confidence. The lack of a waterproof liner in the shoes mean that I can exit deep puddles/ streams without having freezing cold water sloshing around my toes. They also dry quickly once rinsed out at the end of the run. I've been told that the "sticky" rubber sole unit will wear out quicky that their "less sticky" cousins, but at £65 for shoes that make running seem like play-time for big kids, I'm far from complaining!
I brought them from a specailist running store in Bristol and was advised to buy a pair of size 11, when normally I take 11.5; good advice. They fit so well, grip muddy/ rocky tracks and hillsides with ease that I'm (almost)longing for a wet summer!
