A light comfortable built with very poor durability

Comfortable, light good grip and flexion.
The stitching was of very poor quality in the toe flexion area. After just one week of moderate walking the stitching in this area was showing obvious wear. After a further two weeks the stitching had completely gone and the fabric worn beyond repair. This was in dry Pyrenees conditions, the boots rarely got wet. (only 15km-20km days) They're still waterproof as the goretex liner is still fine.
I've had about a dozen fabric boots and these have been the worst for durability. They were returned to Meindl who state this is normal wear and tear! (My first green karrimor ksbs {early 90s} lasted about five years as far as the fabric and stitching goes!)
