Bullet Proof Moutnain Hiking Boot

Tough, comfortable, rugged, great traction even on wet rock.

No rubber rand is all I can think of!!!

I was after a pair of hunting boots for the wilderness area in the South Island of NZ. I couldn't get the Zamberlan boots I wanted end ended up 'settling' for these boots.

Boy am I glad I got them! When you feel these boots in your hand you could be forgiven for envisioning a long and painfulbreak-in period due to the impressive construction. I took them over to NZ with very little break-in time and had no problems for the two weeks I was hunting/exploring there. The fact that the boots were wet (or frozen) for most of that time may have helped.

My feet love them and now I will not wear anything else if my life may depend on my boots holding up to the pressure. The performance on the wet rocks, scree and snow was excellent and I am very happy with the sole's performance in the traction/grip stakes.

They are not light. If you complain about having heavy boots in the mountains it might be time to start playing golf. Having said that they are not that heavy either. I often wear them for bushwalks with the kids as I love the support they offer my feet and ankles and they impressive traction when climbing around the rocks.

I recently did a 25km hike in pouring rain for the whole 5 hours and my feet and socks were dry as a bone (good rain shell and gaiters help).

I've covered around 150km (bush and mountains) in them now and the sole is as good as it was when I bought them and no evidence of separation.

These boots come highly recommended.

Very pleased

Excellent grip, very comfty fit. Look nice too.

New boots. Only a couple of trips with them so far, but so far very pleased. With boots its all about the fit and these fit me very well. Excellent grip on Sharp Edge, Belncathra compared to my old worn-out boots. Comftable first time out out which for new leather boots is excellent.
