These boots were made for walking...

Hard wearing sole with deep tread. Waterproofing hasn't let me down when walking through streams. Don't get too sweaty. Reasonably wide toe-box suits my feet. Easily available in size 12. Not too heavy but reasonably sturdy. Good grip on dry trails generally good grip on wet paths.
Tread lugs a little close together so don't shed heavy clay wonderfully well. Whilst they're fine in snow they don't cope wonderfully with ice.
Great value at full price, superb at discount. I use them for coastal and lowland walking, I'd happily use them for generally hill walking, but they're not a mountain boot. The waterproofing has held up well so far, and I've not suffered with sweaty feet. The tread is lasting well and I'm heavy on boots and shoes. They've served me well for two years, but admittedly I don't givem the mileage some users might as I'm a summer sandal fan.

Comfort is very personal, but for me they're supportive without being overly restrictive or too leaden. The reasonablly generous toe-box suits my feet (think frogman's flippers).
