Quality has gone downhill recently

Comfortable and light
Poor quality and not very durable
I've had four pairs of these as I used to love them, but not any more after the lastest pair fell apart and started leaking after just two months, and Meindl didn't want to know. I can only assume that the quality has been compromised since they moved production to China. It has put me off buying any of their other products too.

DISAPPOINTING

very comfortable boot, great fit and performs well on all terrain i encountered.
disappointing quality. within a year the GTX lining had worn through at the inside upper toe area on both boots. the boots fitted well and i have never had similar wear in any other footwear. the rand pulled away from shoe at the join with the sole and upper and resulted in wet feet. the sole wore very quickly and had to be resoled after 18 months of occasional light/moderate use. None of the above defects were covered by warranty. after pushing the store eventually agreed to resole and repair the rand at half the normal price. Was dissappointed with Meindl and with Ellis Brigham.
very comfortable boot but would not purchase them again and would be hesitant to purchase another Meindl boot.

GREAT COMFORT, POOR CONSTRUCTION

Very comfy boot with nice lace up system
Leather. It split after about a year (not because of poor care)This however should not have mattered greatly as they have a gore tex lining. My feet still got very wet which makes the construction questionable.
Very confy boot. Poor quality leather with lining not living up to its job. I wouldn't buy another pair.
