Good Boots
The products I like best are those that make you feel as though you've had them for ages; that are just at that 'falls to bits' stage, but in fact are brand new. Out of the box comfort? Montrail boots are specially designed to fit 80% of feet. Mine are some of them. They give me a good, wide, stable platform whilst moving over awide range of terrains including scrambles. They will take a semi step-in crampon yet are not so stiff underfoot that it makes your Dogs bark. They are exactly what they felt like as soon as I put them on: A well fitting, exceptionally comfortable and above all a USEFUL feeling that you could do pretty much all you'd want to do in them, pretty much anywhere you liked in them, day after day for long periods without changing your footwear and without wanting too. High praise? Over the years I have tried a lot of footwear. These simply take some beating.
If your one of the 20 percent. Tough! My Black boots now look a sort of greeny/grey. Way cool!
A good solid boot with a good Vibram sole that is surprisingly sticky, in a well deigned and well finished boot that can be used adequately over a wide range of terrains and conditions both in the UK and abroad. That are comfortable all day and everyday and dry moderately quickly after a dunking, are not uncomfortable when wet come in a wide range of sizes to fit 80% of the population: Integrafit. These do a proper job.
