Raichle Mt Trail GTX

After not a lot of miles, the sole of one of my Raichle Mt Trail GTX has started to fall apart - one of the "treads" has just come off, and because of the design of the tread there's no easy way to reattach it.  

They're very comfortable, but they should last a lot longer than they have.

Raichle (now Mammut) did have some problems with quality control on the Mt Trail gtx and xt gtx boots, but did seem to have resolved them some time ago. If you haven't had them that long, contact Mammut.

I have exactly the same problem with the cushioning under the heel crumbling. Only one boot is affected so clearly there is a manufacturing issue. Mammut/Riachle will not admit to a problem with the boots and offered no replacement or help with repair. At this price we should get quality and back-up if there is a problem. I will never buy Mammut/Riachle again.

I am amazed to hear all these complaints about the sole disintergrating. i have just returned mine to the shop for the same reason. Hope they agree to replace.

 I asked Raichle / Mammut about 6 months ago about this issue before buying a pair. below is their reply. Might be worth having a go at them and as such have enclosed the e-mail address i got the reply from. Hope this helps.

I have these boots and had also read about problems. Mine fall into the category that Mammut refered to.

They are now nearly 3 yrs old. I emailed a few repair companies just in case mine ever died, so far they are OK.

 As I said I have not had to replace mine yet, so I cannot vouch for any particular company, but I will be sending them to one of these if they ever do need repairing.
