OUTSTANDING ALL ROUND BOOTS
These boots are strong, reliable, and very warm. The best compliment I can pay them is that I wore them solidly for 6 days, for between 6 and 16 hours a day and the only thing that didn't ache at teh end of the week were my feet!
Laces were tough to do up, from the point of view of getting them tight. Did give me blisters at time but that was a smalll price to pay for the comfort.
A great pair of boots. I'd highly recommend to anyone who is doing any serious walking, anything 2000 metres upwards. You could use them for less than that but in the UK, you'd probably be largely wasting your money as there are cheaper boots that are better choices for hill walking and doing smaller treks. For me, they were warm and comfortable enough to get to 5650 metres in -20 tempreatures so the 'versatile' tag certainly fits.

NEW ANKLE SYSTEM IS GREAT.
Very Comfy, the flex-ankle system is superb and offers superb support (despite what I was expecting). Still a relatively straightforward boot. Great winter boot.
The lace-locking system is good for keeping laces tied, but also very good at ripping through laces. I've already gone through one pair after no-more than 10 days of usage. Scarpa should address this or provide better laces for an RRP of £165. A tad-heavy at the end of a long day (especially after kicking steps with crampons), but that is to be expected from such a solid boot. Expensive, but discounts can be found.
Very good 4-season boot and very satisfied. Haven't done any technical stuff in it yet, but have a friend that has used C3 crampons with no problem whatsoever (should only take C2). The ankle-system is great, just a shame about the laces. Would buy the same again.
