BEST PARAMO PRODUCT

Excellent workmanship and aftersales support
Great to wear - cosy and soft
Very water resistant
Excellent wicking
Not wind resistant
Quite heavy and bulky
No hood (I got one specially made)
All Paramo kit is too expensive
I am not a believer in the Paramo pump-liner "waterproof" jackets (got wet through once too often), but I do rate the Taiga, which I would wear under a wind shell for windy dry conditions and under Goretex for rain. It just feels better than any other fleece. It really needs a hood and I wanted one so much I got Paramo to make one for me - their responsiveness and service was truly excellent

BEST PARAMO PRODUCT BY FAR

Most versatile jacket I own (and I have loads). Love the way it is water repellent, warm and long enough to cover your bum on a cold day.
None
I have a Velez Smock, Fuera Windproof Smock, Explorer Pull on, Alta jacket, Cascada Trousers, Cambia T-Shirts and the Paramo Cap. This is by far my favourite Paramo product.

SUPREME SOFT SHELL

Versatility - Waterproof, Durable, Comfort,
On long hard days, the fact that you are comfortable, dry and warm without having to add or remove layers speaks for itself. Its always the first bit of kit I pack.
It's not perfection, but very close.
Can be too warm during prolonged exertion. However, with the correct base layer and ample venting, this problem is overcome. The fact that you can remain dry even in prolonged showers could convince you that the garment is water proof. - it's not so be careful what you carry in the pockets.
Well worth the money (although I still can't convince the wife). You only realise the full benefits of the Taiga are only appreciated when you are on a trip without one.

I WOULDN'T BE WITHOUT MINE.

Simply the most versatile jacket I've ever owned. Wears well. Infinitely re-proofable, and survived my son spilling coke all over it!
Vulnerable to fagends & flying ash
Pretty much everything that everybody else said!

EXCELLENT JACKET.

Well made, soft, flexible, well lined, comfortable (over other items), long sleeves and body, ample room at arm pits, studded flap over the YKK, large teeth, two way, zip, tabs on the zips pulls, the toggle adjustable elastic corded hem and collar, the three pockets. This black is also good.

The weight of it, in my case, is not a problem - it is a reassurance that it is a robust and durable garment.
Having chronic illnesses, and disabilities, the two way zip can be difficult to put together, and to start closing it. It requires handling the right way. Patience and practice help.
Excellent.
