Those pockets look a little too low? Are they not restricted when you have a pack on with the hip belt fastened? I have the old Phantom which is a similar design but the pockets are well placed at an angle and higher than my hip belt.

Doesn't look too bad and too few people make hoodie fleeces. Rab list it as 435gm though, not 350gm. Why the weight discrepancy?

The weight is the actual weight of our medium test jacket measured with a decent quality digital balance, I don't know why the Rab quoted weight is higher. And yes, good point, the pockets are maybe a little low, but really they're more hand-warmers than anything else and I tended not to use them.
