Superb!!!!
strong, weatherproof, functional an exceptional piece of kit. Easily the best shell I have ever used and I have tested loads over the years. I now live in the French Alps and this jacket keeps out everything that the Alps can throw at you, wind Blizzards, heavy rain.
I cant afford to have more than one!!!!
I have been testing outdoor clothing for over 26 years and this piece of kit leaves me stumped for words, it is quite simply Superb.

AS CLOSE TO BESPOKE TAILORING AS IT GETS.
Fantastic fit. Gussets on elbows and under arms allow full, free movement with the minimum of fabric.
Long pit-zips.
A bit suit-of-armourish.
Laminated, stiff beard guard.
(Having to be picky here.)
The best Shell I have ever worn, simply superb fit. XCR as good as any under full-on Scottish conditions. Tough.
Unfortunately mine had to go back as it leaked on the hood. Got mine in the sale so couldn't afford another. Shame. (Value rating on cost of £200, not £350.)

The Daddy!
The most waterproof jacket I've ever owned yet also the most breathable. Light weight. Excellent design features. Superb quality. Hard-wearing.
The death-stare from my bank manager. The hood design, whilst still excellent, is not quite as good as on my old Mountain Hardwear jacket (but only just).
If you can afford it, buy it. If you can't afford it, buy it anyway and suffer the consequences later. This is a fantastic piece of kit and puts every other jacket I've ever owned to shame. Walking, climbing, skiing, whatever... this is the piece of kit for you. Quality doesn't come cheap, but this will be a great investment. (I promise I don't work for the company!)
