EXCELLENT BREATHABILITY,NICE AND LIGHT

I was surprised how breathable it really was, superb hood best ive ever owned. nice and light and dries really fast.
Mine was never really `100% waterproof may be should of taken it back , It

leaked through the actual material.

now just use it in summer ,or because it is so breathable as a winter windproof.
Would of been an outstanding jacket for the price if it was actually waterproof mine unfortunatly was not

2008 VERSION - NOT A GOOD DESIGN

lightweight - good hood - waterproof
Too narrow sleeves, do not allow for gloves to go under the sleeve ! Consequence - wet hands in gloves
The narrow sleeves do not allow for ease of movement when worn with a fleece

Reflective strips are just NOT reflective
I seem to have wasted my money on a jacket that I can only wear with comfort in Spring/Summer. This is not a jacket for a Scottish winter.

ITS MY BABY!

I got mine for £100 in a sale three years ago, what a gift!!!
During heavy prolonged rain, a tiny bit of water can get in the pockets, so maps or phones could get wet, which is a bummer, so put things in a sandwhich bag if needed.

Not had a problem with wetting out!!
I've used this jacket extensively over the last three years during the spring/summer months, and for an extremely light, and incredibly breathable, totally waterproof jacket, its the dogs danglies for the price!

Not much heavier than a decent windproof, but far better when required, packs small and light, lots of combinations when needed.

HMM, NOT CONVINCED.

Good cut. ?
eVent is not as windproof as GoreTex. Think about it; no PU layer = no barrier to hold in moisture. 30mph winds push air in because there is no PU layer. Prima-Donna fabric, needs much TLC. Back panel design does not sit over your arse, so it rides up and all the lose fabric, and there is a lot, flaps about. Hood doesn't hold the head well with the velcro-tab being on top. No pit-zips, I still need them.
Bad design for a 'Mountaineering' jacket. eVent is good in moderate conditions, but crap in the wind, and just as good, or should I say no better, than anything else in the rain. Stays in the rucsac for much of the time, therefore a bit of a waste of the cash.

LIGHT & EXTREMEMLY BREATHABLE ALL-ROUNDER

Light, small packed size, breathability, good hood, all 3 pockets can take a map.
No inside pocket
Can't fault it. Highly breathable, very waterproof, light and comfy. Well-cut fit means no problems when scrambling/climbing. Reliability scores a 4, as I haven't owned it long.
