Hard wearing winter shell

I love this coat. It has kept me dry for over three years in the hills now. Good large pockets which are still accessible whilst wearing a rucksack or a harness and an excellent hood.
Pull off the rubbish tabs on the zips and replace with a knotted prussic cord.
It's price tag may be a little high for some but if you want a good hard wearing coat for miserable summer weather or general winter use then you could do a lot worse than this coat here.

Great Jacket

Breathable.
Lots of pockets.
Packs down well.
Reinforced in the right places.
Hood takes a while to get used to.
Price if paying RRP.
Got mine half price, so well worth what I paid for it. The hood works well with a helmet. I like lots of pockets so this fits the bill. Vents work well, easier to regulate my temp when I compare it to my Paramo.

OK JACKET

mmmmmm

Like the side vents.

Tough Jacket.

Lightweight - packs down well
The wrist straps keep coming undone, which is highly annoying.

The hood is a pain to store away too much faff for me.

Too many pockets for me

Fit was not right for me (My fault brought on a whim on-line in a sale seemed fine on the first few walks however when the wind and rain comes in i just can't get the jacket to fit right around the waist it keeps riding up)
Could have been a good jacket, in the end the wrist straps tipped me over the edge and I went to the dark side and brought a paramo Velez Adventure smock for winter stuff and haven't looked back

A GOOD JACKET BUT NOT GREAT

Event fabric is miles better at breatheabilty compared to Gore Tex. Lots of good features and light. The side ventilation openings work a treat, and the pockets are well placed.
The hood is good though it needs to be cinched right down to be really effective and stop it flapping in high wind. Not so good if you find hoods claustrophobic. Also the hanging loop and hood securing strap are annoying when not in use as they flap. The waist draw cord sits a bit too high.
A good jacket overall for full on winter wear, though not really worth it at full price. Some nice features, and the Event fabric it is made of has to be a major plus point.

FANTASTIC ALL WEATHER JACKET

Event fabric is nice and breathable
Great pockets that are well placed and decent size.
Reinforced bts in the most likely wear areas.
Great hood - fits more like a hat that a hood.
Pretty light for a jacket of this quality
Not cheap - although deals can be had.
Hood is hard to fold correclty so it doesnt annoy you.
Great jacket from a great company
