Useless, not waterproof.

Light.
Not waterproof. After 10 minutes of wear the arms soaked through and then the chest. Spoke to Paramo and they advised that I wash and reproof. They sent me Techwash and proof. I followed the instructions exactly then tested in the Lakes. Exactly the same happened, soaked through immediately.
Useless, I got a refund. I think Paramo have just tried to go to light on this one. I am a massive Paramo fan on my 2nd pair of Cascada trousers and have worn an Aspira smock for years. I am used to getting a little wet in Paramo gear but find the "pump liner" usually works, this is not the case with this jacket.

The first Paramo waterproof I've used that I really like, although it's not perfect.

It's comfortable enough to wear all day in cool or cold conditions, has good venting when things do warm up a bit and is not a massive burden if it does have to be carried. It also has an excellent hood, and a really good front pocket.
The positioning of the hand pockets inside the vents is strange -- if it's cold enough that you need to warm you hands up then you probably don't want to undo the vents and let heat out. It's also a little short for wear with non-waterprood trousers in light or moderate rain -- but I wear it with Velez Adventure trousers, so not a problem for me. I have noticed a little leakage through the zips in really heavy rain, but again it's minimal and the overall comfort and pump effect more than make up for this.
An very good jacket -- the first Paramo waterproof I've really liked.

My favourite waterproof jacket.

Great hood and really effective.
Big fan of the waterproof smock front pocket for maps, compass etc.
Relatively light and packs well.
Good multipurpose top.
Paramo material.
Dries quickly in use.
Less rugged than others from Paramo brand. Worn a small hole with my ice axe shaft between pack and waist one winter.
Warmth? Usual limitations for Paramo. Although I still carry in summer in mountains I do tend to carry more, use wind shirt and only put on in bad conditions. Excess warmth then is rarely an issue!
A very good waterproof jacket that I use most of the year (have an old goretex for height of summer / when likely to carry in bag all day).
Good access to pocket for map etc and also great hood. Both easy to use with gloves.

Dose what it says on the tin!

Love the bright colour as I walk alone and you can see me for miles.
Found it to be a bit warm at times, but thats what the vents are for! Chest pocket a bit on the small side I think.
Good all round bit of gear.
I really did not know what I had bought until I got home and looked into it further, as I was on holiday and did not pack a rain coat, during a very heavy down pour I was shopping and this was recommended to me by another customer in the shop at the time.
I wish I had found this sooner.
