IS IT POSSIBLE TO BEAT THIS JACKET..I DONT THINK SO.

Style,comfort,performance,fit,performance,durabillity,did i say performance!
All I can find to whinge about is.........nope not a thing.
To be serious I now have the trousers as well and I know that my bag is lighter due to the lack of extra gear I need to carry.Worn with a helly underneath I have never over heated or been wet or cold in 8 months of using this gear,in all conditions good old blighty can throw at me.

OUTSTANDING

Warm/breathable, performed far more effectivley than I expected, waterproof, excellent venting and flexibility.I am very picky and I expected it to be OK it is outstanding and I am now a paramo fan.
Found the hood (ie attaching and unattaching it!) fiddly but when tucked in it improved the warmth and feel of the neck.Frankly I haven't really bothered with the hood so none really. The only real downside is that I have unused shell and fleece to last for the rest of my life!
Expensive but definetly worth it, the best performing piece of kit I have, i carry less and feel confident that I wiil be warm and dry. - It's a shame their trousers are such a strange fit, I 'll have to stick to powerstretch( could be me though!!)

EXCELLENT PIECE OF KIT

I bought this after reading these reviews from a little shop in Hope in the Peak District (currently 15% off at £135) then headed straight for Lose Hill et al for a 14 miler. With rain, sleet and snow this number kept me dry and warm. The zip chest pocket had plenty of space for my OS map making things comfortable. Although side pockets go no where keeping those digits out of very cold winds was a plus. Hood adjusters were no problem and yes the material does not sound like a crisp bag!
It is an over the head jobby and I can imagine on variable warm/cold/wet/mild days getting this on and off repeatedly might be a pain but this is minor.
Good value for money, good looks and great performance.

WORKS A TREAT - JACKET FOR ALL OCCAISIONS

Highly waterproof and breathable, well cut with a snug fit
Handwarmer pocket difficult to get to - erm, that's the only weakness I could think off.
I am now hooked on the Paramo range. My wife has had one for years and has always raved on about it but as usual I didn't listen. This jacket is the most waterproof/breathable jacket I have ever had in over 20 years of walking Scottish hills. It is also the most flexible in that you can use it for so many other sports. For me it has snug, close fit although the short cut won't suit everyone, especially those who climb in the fickle Scottish weather and like a longer jacket for more protection. I also love the feel of the material which makes it very comfortable to wear over just a tee. Even looks good around town when it's raining! I bought one at CCConline for £99 - couldn't believe my luck.

QUALITY PIECE OF KIT.

Warm, good ventilation when required. After having used various types of jackets, the Velez is a class act. With previous jackets condensation has always been a problem (this includes Gore tex),not with the Velez. Have yet to be subjected to an all day downpour, but It coped very well with a wet morning in the Reeth area.
None!!!!
Top Quality.
Since I started to use the Nikwax Analogy Gear, I find that I don't need to carry as much additional clothing in my backpack.
People seem to go on about the weight of Paramo clothing, but this is not as much of a problem now that the lining is 25% lighter and when you consider that you do not need to carry as much other clothing, this is not an issue. Dont worry about having to reproof the clothing often, if you look after your outdoor gear it should be washed at least every six weeks anyway and reproofing Paramo is as simple as washing other outdoor clothing.
Beware, Once you realise how good Paramo clothing is you will want to buy more, but once you've got it all it will last you a lifetime.
