I agree. Having bought one last year!
The alpine is a fantastic light, breathable, waterproof jacket. Hood is very well disigned with ajustable peak. keeps the wind out. and covers most of the face. well worth the extra £20.
Think i payed about £160 from go oudoors. Shop around, get one on stock. well Worth it
