Very Decent

Light
eVent works wonders
Good pockets to wack an OS map in on the front
short front to aid walking/climbing
High neck cover when cold/windy
Great thermoregulation in all conditions
No way is water going anywhere than beading straight off
expensive so pick up cheap - i paid 165
More flexible materials out by Rab for more mobile sports, ie climbing
Not insulated - depends on what u want - but does me perfect
love it, hands down great buy if you can get a good price

Light breathable jacket

OK it breathes well, and it is light, durable and will outlast many other jackets.
It is a very slim fit and is pricey
A light breathable jacket but at a cost

GENERALLY EXCELLENT...

Light (similar to Paclite) and very breathable (more so than Paclite), good hood and general fit - been in some very heavy rain and was still dry inside.
The zip on mine sticks at one point slightly - but not a big deal. Very surprised by the negative reviews - if a buff or something in the pocket gets wet it is most likely sweat passing from the body to the outside.
Tried quite a few jackets and this is my favorite - eVent does seem better than Paclite / XCR. Would I buy another - probably - or might try a Montane Superfly / Superfly XT?

EXCELLENT BIT OF KIT

Very breathable, (not sure if the others haven't bought counterfeit products as Event seems to be more breathable than my TNF XCR jackets so far). Great hood, good size pockets and nice cut.
Inner main zip could do with cord on puller for when you wear gloves and zips have a tendency to catch fabric, slightly frustrating
Love it, used for mountaineering, mountain biking and sea kayaking with no problems..very versatile.

THE WORST JACKET I HAVE OWNED

Event fabric
Hood
Length
Water resistant zips
Holes in pockets
This jacket is the worst waterproof jacket i have ever worn, the pocket zips let in large amounts of water which finds its way to the inside of the jacket via the holes in the pockets through which the waist draw cord passes. Rabs customer service is the worst i have ever experienced. Designed for extreme conditions ?? i think not, i wouldnt use it walking to the shops in a shower. As a previous reviewer stated do they really test their jackets in extreme conditions?? Do yourself a favour and dont buy this jacket.
