Not sure I'd expect there to be a porch, and it's pretty unusual to sleep in waterproof jacket. Glad to hear its stable though!

It does doesn't it

Nice to see it getting a bit of love though - this, Montanes atomic and other such things serve a definite purpose. Given the low cost & weight they're very good for things you're planning to carry lots in summer with a windshirt/soft shell etc.

They don't seem to get stocked in shops all that much though - the slipstream was very scarce initially and even the more established atomics aren't so common - and certainly don't get reviewed half as much as the 3 layer stuff.

Maybe the promised ~200g, 2010 smock style remix will be a little easier to find next spring

I don't know if this is an earlier model of the Slipstream, but I bought one earlier this year from Rock & Run; they only had XL left when I checked just now, at £60:

I'm geneally pleased with the jacket; the only drawback is the length of the sleaves: very long! It's quite nice for keeping your hands dry in pouring rain, but otherwise leaves a lot of loose spare fabric.

Sounds like the same one

I happen to need - and therefore rather like - the sleeve length but yes it was long even by RABs usual standards.
