Good waterproof trousers which are very quick to put on and take off again wet or dry.

Stuff sac has very annoying drawstring which is difficult to close
Bought these for one of those weekends in the Lakes, when the weather could have gone any way, and indeed managed to go most. They cost me £69.99 from Catsycam, so not the cheapest pair of waterproof trousers, but given the amount of activity I do in the UK, they will pay for themselves probably by the end of April!
They were a dream to try on in the shop, which I did over my jeans and boots, and were every bit as easy to put on when halfway up to High Street. In fact, I was very pleased to actually beat my boyfriend on the donning of the garments, the 3/4 length zips making them dead simple to get over hiking boots and gaiters. The fit of these is great. They are a slim cut, so don't rattle around like someone is rustling crisp packets when you wear them. And just going back to the zips, while the trousers themselves are not particularly breathable, it is easy to unzip the trousers at either end and ensure there is good ventilation. Stopping for a break, I unzipped them the whole way.
So, proof of pudding, I was dry and snug on my walks, and comfortable.
Only gripe I have is that the stuff sac which comes with them has an elasticated cord which is fitted to the side of the sac. It is not at all easy to pull the cord fully closed, and while it is just a small niggle, it is something I find irritating as it stops the stowing of them being as straightforward as it could. But don't let that put you off buying the product.
