VERY WARM, ZIPS MEAN IT IS USEFUL IN A NUMBER OF CONDITIONS
Very warm. Used for the first time in anger walking in snow over the weekend. I run warm and needed to be venting almost immediately despite snow and windchill. I was wearing only a wicking layer underneath. At stops reclosing the zips kept my core warm whilst the wind meant I had to put on gloves and a fleece hat to keep extremities warm.
None really so far. If I had to say something then using the venting zips whilst wearing a pack but this really looking for something to say....
This really worked for me in cold conditions and replaced several layers, was therefore less bulky. Bought a clean one off ebay and saved 50% on the new price. Result.

A VERY VERSATILE, WARM AND GENERALLY FANTASTIC BIT OF KIT.
Really warm, dries quickly, stops any strength of wind dead, a good alternative to lots of layers. Totally bombproof.
I've got pretty bad skin around my inner elbows from eczema, and the pile can be unbearably itchy against it when I sweat the tiniest bit. I also run quite hot, so can only really wear my Special 6 in very cold conditions.
I bought my Buffalo nearly a decade ago now when I was in the TA, and it was my default warm layer for years of exercises. It's kept me toasty and warm on four hour guard duties in driving snow. It's also still warm even when wet, which has been a boon in heavy fog up Ben McDhui and Lochnagar a couple of times.
They are a brilliant bit of kit, but can be overly hot if you give off a lot of heat. I'd say essential for the Scottish hills in winter, and a good bit of kit to have in the backpack for longer stops or times when a bit of body heat generation is needed quickly.
I'm not quite so sure about the real Buffalo advocates who claim it's the only system you'll ever need, because I think you can't go wrong with a good Goretex or eVent shell in driving rain and wind, to reduce wind chill and wetness, but it's definitely a valuable addition to any outdoors wardrobe. Cheap too, when you compare it to a lot of the higher-end technical fleeces and shells.

MOST USEFUL TOP YOU CAN OWN
Really tough, Wind proof, unbeleivably fast drying and still warm for the short time it is wet
nasty colours, crude design, no hood included
Does what it says on the tin, a briliant one garment system for colder conditions (OK with a decent thin baselayer as well), Not waterproof at all but the speed it dries is remarkable, once I was in a hurry and put it on straight out of the washing machine and it was completely dry in 20 minutes and I was not cold while it was drying either. let down a bit (for me anyhow) by the design, I am sure that it would not work any less well if it fitted a bit better but I guess they know their market, in spite of that I would not be without it when outdoors in the winter. would be better value if they included a hood as standard.
Ugly but very, very effective.

WONDERFUL FOR ALL SPORTS
Gets you really warm really quick. Great for foul weather and as a warm top after coming off water.
Gets too hot!
Would not be with out this top, nor my belay jacket.
