EXTREMELY VERSATILE AND LIGHTWEIGHT
Very wind resistant, highly breathable, lightweight, layers well so therefore versatile.
Elastic cuffs means they cannot be altered
The light weight makes this product extremely versatile. Keeps you at the perfect temperature - not too hot, not too cold. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

BREATHABLE MID LAYER AND WIND SHELL
Excellent wind resistance, good cut (for me at least), lining wicks well and adds some warmth, allows summer base layers a bit more life into autumn, wicks sweat from merino baselayers well in winter, mitigates "cold back" whatever you are wearing because of its insulating and wicking properties. I've found it works well under an eVent hard shell.
Outer nylon shell not as breathable as the Pertex Equilibrium Rab use for Vapour Rise clothing. Depending on the model/year details differ. Will shrug off light showers but no more, and has no hood.
I have a DriClime Catalyst which is a recent more expensive snazzy version with "stretch panels" and recycled lining. I've been looking at DriClime for a long time but never got round to getting one before. It was only the search for a decently breathable mid-layer which could also be used as an outer which persuaded me to try one (and the price - bought from TK Maxx for £30). The Rab Vapour Rise stuff doesn't fit me well but this does. I've used it in cooler weather since I bought it in Sept 2008. Good over a merino base layer in Winter and over a synthetic in Spring/Autumn weather when you need a bit of insulation. Excellent jacket, I reckon, if used in the right way.

ON THE RIGHT DAY - THE MOST COMFORTABLE BIT OF KIT YOU CAN WEAR
As previous reviews. Very light and comfortable but regulates temperature amazingly well.
Maybe not very robust.
I did a lot of walking in the early 90s with the old three layer system. Coming back to the hobby I was interested to see all the new kit and bought one of these after reading lots of positive reviews. I am amazed by how well it regulates your temperature. You literally never have to take it off. From a heated car to 2°C recently in Switzerland (with a baselayer and hat) you feel neither warm nor cold. No more overheating up the hill and cold with sweat on top.
There are several versions around though (as indicated by the other reviews) so check what you are buying. I tried a DriClime Jacket on in the shop and then ordered what I thought was the same thing off the internet but ended up with the "Original" DriClime Windshirt. The windshirt has the pit vents while the jacket has no vents but does have hand pockets and waist adjustment. Neither have a hood. I also read a comment on a forum that wearing a heavy pack had torn one of these windshirts, so maybe not the most robust - they are very thin.

BEST BIT OF KIT YOU WILL EVER BUY!
So versatile, can be worn in ALL conditions.
No hood.
Fantastic bit of clothing - I bought it to replace my Rab VR, which just didn't fit properly. This top is fantastic, it can be worn as a base layer, a mid layer, or as a shell. I normally wear it over a 260 icebreaker in winter, and this 2 layer combination leaves my toasty warm. I carry a shell in my pack for any heavy rain or if the wind gets too crazy. If I could only keep one item of technical clothing, this would be it - BUY IT!

THE MOST VERSATILE PIECE OF KIT IN MY PACK
It does everything! It is windproof, very breatheable, wicks moisture, provides a bit of insulation, and is showerproof into the bargain. Full zip for quick venting, hand warmer pockets, packs down tiny and weighs nothing. Armpit vents without pit zips.
Sleeves are a bit on the short side, and could be cut a bit better around the midriff which makes it a bit flappy in high wind.
A wonderful bit of kit. I am not surprised they are so popular in the States but is seldom seen on British hills. Why not? It is perfect for the job and performs beautifully in our conditions.
