Fabulous and breatheable

It is very effective if you need to be light and on the move
It will wet out - but it is only very light
It is very effective if you need to be light and on the move. It breathes well and keeps the chill of the wind off you. Mine is used for winter running

Still the original and best

very hard wearing for something that seems so thin
extremely light
great fit
has a hood
semi water resistant
adds an "insulation" layer for stopovers
great value
not waterproof
hood not peaked but hey come on its uber light!
nothing else
I have had one of these jackets for about 5 years and was one of the first bits of kit I upgraded to after an reasonable absence from serious walking. Its light and packs down incredibly small. It has a hood and although its not waterproof its great in showers or mist and dries really quickly. Mine still looks like new even though it has been used under a rucksack and for biking in. Its amazing how much wind it will cut out.
Love mine

Essential wear.

Ease of use. Light. Flexible.
Rubbish hood.
I prefer my smock but this has a zip and it's a far better cut than the Featherlite, so less wind noise. Really hard to fault this. DWR is long gone as I just wash it with normal clothes.

BUY ONE

Packs small, very breathable. Not loose or flappy. Basic hood. Fits me perfectly in "medium".
Good price.
sleeve ends narrow so can't pull up over elbows.
Is good value-for-money (typically £25 to £35), but wears and loses its water-resistance progressively.
Very basic, no hand-warming pockets.
This is a minimalist jacket with hood which you would be fool to not pack when going outdoors. When new it sheds light showers and drizzle very well, but this progressively weakens with wear, after 2+ years of regular use mine is showing holes and it lets water in easily, but I have bought another!

NEVER WITHOUT IT

Light, very wind resistant, good breathability, great cut, more robust than it looks, ok to use as a water resistant shell in short periods of lighter rain, dries quickly, good for layering underneath.
Probably best not to use a very heavy pack with it as it might stretch the fibres. But this isn't a real criticism as it is designed for use with lighter wt gear.
Other than that, none.
Really good piece of kit. Well designed. In the five years I've had one I've hardly ever been without it in my bag.
In February this year when we had all that snow, it was perfect over a Marmot Driclime jacket when working hard as an eVent jacket was too warm.
