Great Bit of Kit

Light great fit and does just what it says on the tin
Worn it in alll sorts of weather and it's been very good and versatile
Pocket could be a little larger but that's just an observation not a real complaint
It's great value and it's only£49.00 in Go Outdoors

Good lightweight if expensive piece of kit

Got this a wee while ago and then came across the summit hoodie as a real bargain (£66). I was told that I need to buy the ascent to make to duo waterproof. I resisted until I had to as this combination was the very best at keeping me dry - the breathability seemed to be superb. Anyway, I relented and bought the ascent. I must say I was disappointed. The ascent really wets out and I look like a drowned rat. It may be case the case that I am actually dry, but it dont feel like it. I now resort to ME Kongour instead.
None apart from the price. Though probably worth it.
good light weight windproof which is easily packed down. Wish it worked with the hoodie though as it would not look as sad when wet, and it is so much more breatheable.

Light and effective

I find it quite resistant to showers as well. It works fine and is often stowed in my rucksack for a mixed weather day out
None really
A great compact smock that is very effective

GOOD WINDPROOF. STICK GORETEX OVER THE TOP WHEN IT RAINS

Good design
Good hood
Very tough
Very light
Flaps and billows in the wind
If you try to layer it with a Paramo directional fleece to get a waterproof system, you will cook !
One of the two bits of Paramo kit I actually rate, along with the Taiga jacket. Great no-nonsense windproof. BUT not in the least waterproof so be prepared to stick a proper waterproof over the top when it rains.
